About Ax

Who Is AX Kametches?

Alexander ‘Ax’ Kametches, from Tucker, GA, is a unique racing story and unlike any other driver.  He had no prior racing experience until discovered in August 2019 by Primal Racing School owner Adrian Dewey at AMP (Atlanta Motorsport Park). Despite his newness to the sport, Ax is a natural racer, very quick to learn and is easy to coach. Ax entered his first race December 2019 and took the checkered flag in 2 separate races.  And that is just the beginning of Ax's racing career.

AMP opened the door to the world of racing offering AX a job at the Karting track to be around the race track and gain valuable seat time to further hone his race craft.

After some early success at Primal, Ax made his FRP1600 debut with Lockwood Raceworks in the #76 Spectrum F1600 car, led by owner Sam Lockwood. Ax works for the Race Shop at AMP and being around the race track has enabled him to further hone his racing skills. In this short period Ax has also become an inspiration to up and coming, younger racers. has signed to race with.

Currently Ax is racing with K-Hill Motorsports in the FRP1600 Series.

When I’m not racing, I try to stay involved in the race world.
